I apologise for having neglected you all and not updating my blog for a while – unfortunately I do not have an excuse other than I am human and have been a little bit lazy. Oops. However, I'm here now so all is rectified. Now I just need to find something interesting to write!

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I am so not ready. Not at all! My plans for being organised are totally kaput so I have a feeling I will be rushing around last minute like alot of people! But guess what, I did buy my Christmas tree and some decorations the other day though, How exciting! Dont worry, I'm not completely over the top and havent put it all up yet, will wait at least another week for that yet Hehe.

I have been working hard this week – don't laugh, I have! I went to Atlanta, had two days off and then went to Orlando, and got back yesterday. It's not so bad flying out, but coming back it's a night flight so I am literally awake for 24 hours solid by the time I get home from work and crawl into bed – the bed which at that point feels like the most amazing place in the world that no money could buy!

In Atlanta I was very well behaved and did not shop at all. I resisted temptation and overcame the natural desire (obsession) to pay people for their goods. Yay me. Orlando though, was a very different story. I gave in. I dont think it was because of female impulse either. Ok, tell me if your hotel was in a Mall, you would be able to say 'No, I will not part with my hard earned money, not even if Macy's/Bloomingdales/MAC/Victoria's Secret do have a 75% Off Thanksgiving Sale!'

I was beaten by my conscience, it just kept telling me Christmas is coming up and think of the presents for people. Bloody conscience. I'm sure it should be telling me to save money, or pay off credit cards/dets etc, but noooo, it told me to spend! So I did as was told. Oops.

Again, roll on my turn to win the lottery! Come on Saturday night's £6,500,000 Jackpot, Be mine!!!! At least in Bermuda in a few weeks I cant buy anything really, but I do plan to Scuba dive a bit. Hope the water won't be too cold! Will let you know when I get back what it's like as I've not been there before!

Hi Readers/Players,

Well today I am writing from America, where I flew to today, and just for a change, a lady decided to collapse in the rear galley! This is actually quite a regular occurance as it happens, on average every third or fourth long haul flight I do, so I'm used to it. What I'm not used to though is the passenger not coming round immediately. Infact the lady was pretty much incoherent and laying on the galley floor for about 20-30 minutes. This was quite scary and got my adrenalin going, and what was worse, there were no other crew around to help me and I obviously couldnt just leave her!

Fortunatley, we had a group of about 46 RAF ladies and gents onboard, some of whom were giving me grief at the back of the plane at the time (you know who you are! ) so, bless their little cottons, they looked after this poor lady for me, while I got some help. We got the lady on oxygen, got some blankets as needed and eventually she came round properly, gathered her bearings and was fine. I'm sure it was just lack of food and dehydration really – note to yourselves, before any flight, make sure you are well hydrated, have eaten and have had a decent amount of sleep as 4-5am starts are killers, and more prone to see you feeing ill in the air. And if you dont feel well, call the crew from your seat, don't come to the galley if you think you may pass out as it's safer for you if you're already sitting down, incase you don't quite make it to the galley/toilet you were aiming for!

Anyway, these RAF passengers were brilliant, not just for helping out a hostie in need, but also for their sense of humour during a long flight (and 2 hour delay!), and just making my job so much more enjoyable. Today was one of the best flights I have ever done, mainly because my passengers, RAF and otherwise, were all so lovely, and friendly. If I coud have upgraded you all, I would have.

Incase you hadnt guessed, the main gist of this post is really just a little thankyou note and aknowledgement, so thanks very much guys, it was a pleasure flying with you!
